Dearby (“we”, “the App”) is a personal place-memory journal. You can pin notes, photos, and times to places you have been, then look back at those memories. This Policy explains what we collect and how we use it. By using Dearby, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We do not sell your personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Information Sharing

Your memories are for you. In this version we do not publish them to other users or a public feed.

We share data only:

4. Location

Location is used only to attach a place to a memory you choose to save, and only while Dearby is in use. Do not use the App to record someone else’s private location without a lawful basis and their knowledge.

5. Children

Dearby is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). Do not create an account for a child under that age.

6. Retention and Deletion

We keep data as needed to operate the App and meet legal obligations. You may delete individual memories in the App. Use Delete Account in Me to request erasure of your profile and saved memories. Some records may remain where the law requires.

7. Your Choices

Location, Camera, and Photos can be controlled in iOS Settings. You may decline optional permissions; tagging a memory with a photo or your current place will not work without the matching permission. Email us to request access, correction, or export of your data where applicable.

8. Security and International Transfer

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Servers may be located outside your country. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy in the App. Continued use after the “Last updated” date means you accept the revised Policy.
